Literature Text

Lovino went outside his house at night on a cold winter day and saw (Name) gathering snow with her outstretched palm. He smiled to himself, admiring her figure. Looking at the girl and the snow, he sighs, thankful that she's OK.

You see, it's been a year since (Name) discovered her deadly illness. Unfortunately, there's no known cure for her disease and she could die anytime. After he knew about her disease, he visited her everyday to check on her condition and to take care of her.

"Lovino?" (Name) turned around and smiled, aware that he's behind her.

"Hm?"

"Why did you take care of me when you knew about my illness?" she wondered, staring at the falling snow with a slight smile. Lovino flinched when he heard the question, but he replied anyway.

"It's because I can't stand seeing you suffer, that's why everyday, I drop by and made sure that you're fine, n-not that I care for you or anything!" he stuttered.

"Thanks Lovino!" she thanked him with a grateful smile, oblivious to his worsening blush. She then formed a snowball and threw it to him as she ran away, laughing joyfully.

Taken aback by the snowball that hit him. He rolled his eyes and grinned, deciding to give her a dose of her own medicine, he formed a snowball and threw it to the girl, he chuckled at her surprised face.

After about an hour of throwing and laughing, (Name) stopped and beamed at Lovino. She suddenly felt unsteady on her feet, she was sure it's already her time. She decided to tell Lovino what she truly felt about him so she looked at him with a faint smile and sad eyes.

"Lovino...? Can you please continue smiling... for me? I lo..." she said, not able to finish the sentence anymore. With her dizziness worsening, she fell down without warning.

With widened eyes, Lovino rushed and kneeled beside her and he felt tears streaming down his face as he tried waking her up, but there was no response. He tried to listen to her breathing, but he never heard her breathe again. He said her name out loud, not caring about his surroundings, but there was no reply.

"I promise to keep on smiling!" he promised and yelled as he experienced a sharp pain in his heart.

Lovino cried and hugged her body when he realized that the person he loved the most is dead and cold. Just once more, he wanted to hear her call his name. One more time, he wanted her to laugh joyfully with him, to cry with him, to see her smile, and to hear her angelic voice. He wanted to feel the steady rising of the scent of summer with her, but he can do nothing else but to cry and embrace her until she gradually vanishes away and disappears into the snow.

"Please tell me that you're suffering!" he shouted.

"Please tell me that you're lonely!" he exclaimed.

"Don't leave me behind!" he cried.

"Rob me of everything that I have now, just for her to live again! Rob me of everything I have until everything goes white..."

But now, he's forever locked in a world where he can't say a simple 'I love you' to the one he held dearest to his heart. He registered that she can't hear his voice anymore and that he was now alone. He looked at her now dull, empty and soulless eyes staring at nothingness reflect a single drop, everything was silent and remained still with only the snow quietly falling one by one.

After what seemed like forever, he slowly smiled and remembered his promise and her last words, but from now on, he told himself that he was too late to say I love you.
This is my very first fanfiction that I made!:iconclapplz: This was -kind of- inspired by "Soundless Voice" by Kagamine Len and "Proof of Life" by Kagamine Rin. I'm new to DeviantArt and writing fanfictions. Constructive criticism appreciated ^^

This is a really impacting piece! I can feel the despairing emotions of Romano as he stared at her lifeless face, knowing that she will never wake again. I can also sense the imagery in full detail and bright colors. I honestly think that this is an extremely original piece. I think you did a wonderful job of putting the words in the right places. Again, I can really feel Romano's pain when you add his thoughts and his words. This is definitely a Hetalia x Reader I won't easily forget. Overall, you did a absolutely brilliant job of writing this amazing work of art.
